Storm Info
Good day;
Based on the latest projected track, we are preparing for potential impact to Central Florida. Below are some helpful reminders:
Before the storm:
- Please be sure to monitor and prepare for the storm as recommend by National Hurricane Center.
- All loose items should be secured from the exterior of your home and surrounding areas such as furniture, pots, lawn debris, and any other items that can become projectiles.
- Know where the local shelter is or will be and if they take animals in the event this is necessary.
- Be sure to secure your pets.
- Conserve your water in case of an outage, do not use washing machine.
After the storm:
- A downed wire that is sparking, smoking or burning is a hazardous condition. Please call 911.
- Contact your power company for outage updates. Duke 800.228.8485.
- For life threatening emergencies call 911.
- If you need management after hours, call 407-788-6700 and follow the prompts. If you have damage, it is likely that many other residents and communities also have damage, please be sure to take pictures when it is safe to do so and email to your manager if it is on the Association Property. Sentry will work through the calls as quickly as possible.
- Please be a good neighbor before and after the storm!
Please note that a representative will be out to review the property as soon as it is safe after the storm.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Dear Silver Lakes West, aka Sheffield Owners;
Hoping that this update finds you safe and healthy.
The Board of Directors has decided to cancel the next meeting of Thursday, May 8th due to Covid – 19. Should something arise that cannot be resolved using the executive board you will be notified and we can arrange a teleconference using “zoom”, Zoom is easy to use, or through “Go to Meeting” all information will be emailed to each of you regarding the app download.
The Board has approved the cleaning of the exterior wall facing the road along Greenwood and the wall along Lake Emma. The work is being done by H & R ProPainters.
Make sure that you are maintaining the wall area in the rear of the home. Please removed all vegetation that is on top and hanging over the wall. This needs to be done avoid problems and possible landscaping charges to the unit owner.

Hurricane Preparedness
As you are likely aware of we have a storm heading our way over the Labor Day weekend. This morning’s forecast has Dorian hitting as a Category 2 Hurricane, which could mean sustained winds over 100 MPH. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS STORM! The Association along with the County will be inspecting damage once the storm passes. It cannot be stressed enough that you need to carefully follow all government instructions as it relates to the storm. The time to prepare is now. Please look around the outside of your home and on your porches/patios and secure items that could become flying debris, cover windows and make plans for the storm.
If you see items in the community that need to be addressed after the storm, please send an email to my attention Lynda McGee at lmcgee@sentrymgt.com
